Liquid silicone is a relatively solid high-temperature vulcanized silicone rubber, which is a liquid rubber with good flowability, fast vulcanization, more safety and environmental protection, and can fully meet food grade requirements. Liquid silicone has excellent tear resistance, resilience, yellowing resistance, thermal stability, and heat aging resistance, and is mainly used in children's products, medical supplies, and electronic products.
Liquid silicone rubber can be used for coating, impregnation, and pouring. For example, hydroxyl terminated polydimethylsiloxane with viscosity of 0.07~50 Pa · s/25 ℃, methyl vinyl bipyrrolidone silane as chain growth agent, and Organic peroxides, such as dibenzoyl peroxide, 25-dimethyldi-5-di-tert-butylperoxyhexane, as curing agent, has good fluidity and low viscosity, and chain growth reaction occurs simultaneously during the curing process, so high molecular weight elastomer can be obtained, Has good physical and mechanical properties. The chain growth agent methyl vinyl bis pyrrolidone silane can be obtained by the reaction of pyrrolidone with methyl vinyl Dichlorosilane in the presence of triethylamine. The product is easy to hydrolyze, so it needs to be stored in a dry and closed container. The pyrrolidone group of this compound can slowly react with the terminal hydroxyl group in polydimethylsiloxane at room temperature, and the reaction rate increases with temperature. In theory, this reaction can proceed continuously until an infinite molecular weight is obtained. The vinyl group in methylvinylpyrrolidone silane can also serve as an activation point for vulcanization reactions, which can promote crosslinking of polydimethylsiloxane and generate high molecular weight elastomers. Due to the slow reaction between pyrrolidone group and hydroxyl group at room temperature, the mixed rubber material with each component has a longer shelf life. Within 1 hour, the viscosity of the rubber material remains basically unchanged, but it still maintains good flowability and can be injected into small pores. The mixed rubber material can be vulcanized into an elastomer by heating at 150 ℃ for 10 minutes.
1. Injection molded liquid silicone rubber (LSR): The full name is injection molded liquid silicone rubber, and the vulcanization equipment is an injection molding machine. The injection molding machine has a very simple process flow (without the need for manual processes such as ingredients, rubber mixing, cutting, and placement in the high-temperature glue process, only one worker is required to pick up the product), high product accuracy (all manual procedures before molding are replaced by machines), high production capacity (A/B glue is mixed at a certain temperature for a few seconds to form), and multiple advantages such as saving manpower, electricity, and materials. It can produce all products produced by high-temperature glue! It will be a mainstream in the development of silicone rubber materials in the coming years.
2. Mold silicone rubber (RTV-2): Used for forming molds for handicrafts and low alloy materials.
3. Electronic silicone rubber (RTV-T): Used as a moisture-proof, insulating backlight board, and heat dissipation material for electrical components.
4. Sealant (RTV-1): Commonly known as glass adhesive, used for building sealing, waterproofing engineering, aluminum bonding, electronics and lighting, etc.
According to the position of functional groups (i.e. cross-linking points) contained in the molecular structure, liquid rubbers with functional groups are often divided into two categories: one is called telechelic liquid rubber where functional groups are at both ends of the molecular structure; The other is that the active functional groups are randomly distributed in the main chain, that is, those with functional groups in the molecular structure are called non telechelic liquid rubbers. Of course, there are also intermediate functional groups and
